To Brazilian mathematics educators: interview with professor Elda Vieira Tramm

This text presents an interview with professor, researcher, and trainer Elda Vieira Tramm, a member of the EMFoco Group (Mathematics Education in Focus). The objective is to highlight and record Professor Elda's influence on the Mathematics Education community in Brazil, especially in Bahia. The text begins with a brief introduction of the professor, followed by a transcription of the interview, prepared based on a semi-structured proposal, which took place in person at her home in Salvador, Bahia. Among other points, issues related to Professor Elda's work regarding Mathematics teaching were addressed. In her account, Professor Elda was moved by the memory and appreciation of her legacy, and happy to have something to contribute, based on her experience and life trajectory with Mathematics Education in Brazil and abroad (Holland, Portugal, and Angola).
