Beatriz Silva D'ambrosio Dialogues with the Creative Insubordination

This article is a clipping of a doctoral thesis still in execution, which proposes to biography the academic and scientific work of Beatriz Silva D'Ambrosio. Among the themes addressed by the teacher, creative insubordination gained relevance in the final years of her life. Presenting an overview of Beatriz's scientific publications on this topic, the research corpus brings together 16 scientific publications, including lectures and articles published in event annals, journals, books and book chapters. The concept she divulged and about which she wrote is in line with her premises, as it is also present in her practice as a teacher and researcher. In the publications studied, actions of creative insubordination - assumed as attitudes in opposition to the established rules, in order to reduce their harmful effects on students, research participants or teachers and researchers themselves - are part of the practice of teachers and researchers. Also in the school context they appear strongly motivated by the appreciation and respect for the student and the teacher, seeking to transform the classroom and the school into investigative, critical and liberating spaces.
