Graduate Research in Mathematics Education in Paraíba: what brought us Ubiratan D’Ambrosio

This paper presents descriptive research of bibliographic survey that analyzed Ubiratan D'Ambrosio's contributions to the Paraíba's Graduation Courses research in Mathematics Education, guided by the following investigative problem: which theoretical assumptions are observed in the Paraíba's Stricto Sensu research involving the scientific production of the Mathematics Educator Ubiratan D'Ambrosio? We consulted the institutional repositories of Dissertations and Theses of UFPB, UFCG and UEPB, from 2015 to 2021, checking which of them brought direct/indirect citations of Ubiratan D'Ambrosio. Then, we found 281 direct/indirect citations in 46 validated papers, which allow us to infer that his contributions are concentrated mainly in the master's degree researches at UEPB and linked to school practices. Regarding the thematic axes, we identified a predominance of citations related to Ethnomathematics, Pedagogical Practices, History of Mathematics, Technologies and Modeling. Studies such as this one allows us to materialize, systematize and memorialize the legacy of the Mathematics Educator Ubiratan D'Ambrosio and research in Mathematics Education. Future research agenda is enunciated in the treatment of tracing a scientific profile of Ubiratan D'Ambrosio's legacy, from the Paraiban undergraduate and graduate research.
